Age UK in Enfield had been running a number of intergenerational projects that they wanted to document before each project was completed.
There were two reasons for this:
- to show at a celebration event
- to use in future funding proposals and promotions
There was very little time and very little money, so we came up with a scenario where we would visit each project and interview and film for an hour. I would then edit the footage into short videos of 2 – 5 mins.
Because of the tight budget I set myself the challenge of editing each video in a very short space of time working as instinctively as possible.
The celebration event took place in a packed school hall just before the end of the summer term. Each video was presented by the projects coordinator and then followed up by one of the participants making a short speech about what the project had done for them.
Additionally I used images from the videos in a delegates pack that was produced for attendees of the celebration to take away with them. The images linked to online versions of the videos posted on youtube.
